Chief Executive

Aged 48, was appointed chief executive in June 2001. Before his appointment, he was a director of Britax International plc and managing director of its automotive components division. Following the purchase of that division by Schefenacker International AG in 2000, he became a director of that company and executive director of Schefenacker Vision Systems.

Based Madison, USA. Aged 45. Appointed divisional managing director in November 2001. An MBA, Scot worked in the automotive industry for 18 years, with companies such as Van Dresser Corporation, General Motors and Britax. Within Britax, Scot held a number of positions including marketing director, managing director of Britax Geco and latterly regional managing director for the Americas. One of his Britax Geco factories won 'European Factory of the Year' recognition from L'Insead.

Based Glasgow, UK. Aged 47. Appointed divisional managing director in August 2005. A graduate of St John's College, Cambridge, Stephen joined from Danaher Corporation where he was Managing Director for Gilbarco Veeder-Root EMEA. He also spent 13 years at Black & Decker Europe, latterly as Vice President and General Manager - Consumer Products Europe and he has held senior management roles at Unipart Group, Hepworth PLC and Technicolor Group.

Based Huddersfield, UK. Aged 48. Appointed divisional managing director in September 2004, Phil has a BSc Honours in Engineering from Imperial College and also holds an MBA from Cranfield University. Phil joined from AWG PLC, the parent company of Anglian Water, where he was responsible for government services and group business development. Prior to AWG, he was managing director of Reyrolle Ltd., an international business in the industrial power group of Rolls-Royce PLC having worked in various areas of Rolls Royce after leaving university.

Based in Florida, USA. Aged 55. Since joining Weir in 2001 has been instrumental in restructuring Weir Peacock, in Canada, and establishing service facilities around the globe. As vice president Flowserve Service Division he led the creation of a new service division and initiated start-ups, as part of the integration of Flowserve and IDP. A BS Mechanical Engineering, Steve has a wealth of experience in acquisitions, restructuring, and start-ups, working with Byron Jackson Pumps, BW/IP International, and Flow International Corp.
