As a leading supplier of safety critical systems, Weir S&H Consultancy has a proven track record in delivering
robust safety cases.
Weir S&H has a dedicated team of safety engineers capable of performing individual safety tasks up to managing
a full safety case. Assessment and justification can be conducted in a concurrent engineering environment to cost effectively
influence the design, and effectively interface with other disciplines such as Availability, Reliability and Maintainability
(ARM), Integrated Logistics Support (ILS)and Human Factors (HF).
Weir S&H’s experience extends across, Defence, Nuclear and Offshore sectors and includes analysis of complex
systems with human interaction. A full toolkit of analysis techniques is available including FEA, FMEA, HAZOP, FTA/ETA and
ALARP cost benefit analysis.
Availability, Reliability and Maintainability
(ARM)
Weir S&H have both in-house capabilities and experienced associates in Reliability and Maintainability
analysis.
Weir S&H are familiar with Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) methodologies and are currently undertaking
several contracts that require it. Fully qualified facilitators are employed to make sure that all aspects of RCM are carried
out successfully.
Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) & Technical Documentation
Weir S&H has a dedicated team with over 15 years experience in the methods and techniques necessary for
the development of an optimised support system in commercial and military markets. Weir S&H can provide complete or partial
services specialising in ILS.
Operability and Human Factors (HF)
Weir S&H offer both in-house expertise and experienced associates in the closely related disciplines
of Operability & Human Factors, especially in the specialised fields of Nuclear, Defence and Offshore applications.
Weir S&H offer a range of Operability & HF techniques designed to reduce the risk to personnel, systems
and equipment. This is achieved by reducing the potential for operator error through the application of HF principles to the
presentation of information and control system interfaces and the use of good ergonomic principles to the design of physical
tasks.
